Launching of Consultation Process on Communication Strategy for Diaspora and its Action plan for 2021-2024
On 19 February 2020 was the launching of consultation process on Communication Strategy for Diaspora and its Action plan for 2021-2024, which aims to support the joint efforts of the State Minister for Diaspora, related Diaspora engagement institutions, Diaspora associations and representatives to better integrate Albanian Diaspora in the Albania's social, cultural and economic life.
More than 25 participants from Albanian Diaspora members including representatives from the Coordination Council of Diaspora participated in the first online consulting meeting.
Active discussions from diaspora representatives and organizations were focused on most important priorities, the expected support from the Albanian Government and the preferred means of communications. The consultation will continue with other groups of interest such diaspora engagement institutions, media, and other key representatives from Albania Diaspora.
The Communication Strategy for Diaspora 2021-2024 and its Action Plan is being supported by IOM Programme “Engage the Albanian Diaspora to the Social and Economic Development of Albania”, funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and implemented in cooperation with the Minister of State for Diaspora, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance and Economy and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) in Tirana.
