IOM trains frontline partners on Collaborative Response to Migration Management
1-2 November 2023, Saranda, Albania – IOM organized a two-day training with frontline partners on Collaborative Response to Migration Management.
Border Police, local government officials, and other frontliners were presented with:
- IOM Approach to Protection (Protection Mainstreaming Activities, Smuggling and Trafficking in Human Beings, Psychological First Aid, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support)
- Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) referral mechanisms and operations.
- Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM)
- IOM outreach efforts through the Mobile Teams in Albania.
Trainers from Bosnia and Herzegovina shared knowledge and led the discussion between professionals, focused on prioritizing protection-centered approaches; strengthening migration management capacities; advancing understanding of voluntary return programmes.
This training activity was organized thanks to the support of the UK Government.
