Connect Albania Unit welcomes the new staff
In view of the establishment of the Connect Albania mechanism, an innovative investment boosting mechanism that will be launched soon, today we welcomed the staff of the Connect Albania Unit, which is developed as part of the IOM Albania Programme 'Engage the Albanian Diaspora to the Social and Economic Development of Albania'. This unit is established under the Albanian Diaspora Business Chamber (ADBC).
In close coordination with ADBC, the staff of the Connect Albania Unit will get the full information about Investments procedures in Albania, priority areas of investments and will facilitate and coordinate all the investments steps and procedures requested by the designated “Development Agents/Connectors”, coming from the Albanian Diaspora community in Italy.
This is an innovative approach that is going to be used for the first time in Albania. The Development Agents will attract Diaspora and foreign investments from Italy to Albania and will serve as intermediaries / bridges between the Connect Unit and the potential investors / businesses from Italy to Albania.
The IOM Albania Diaspora Programme is implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Albania, the UN Migration Agency, with funding from the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) in coordination with the Albanian State Minister for Diaspora, Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Finance and Economy through Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA).
