Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR)
Under the project “Strengthening the delivery of information provision and counselling within the scope of AVRR in the Western Balkans”, on 22-m 23 October 2019 two awareness sessions on Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration component were delivered to the border police staff in Kakavija (Gjirokastra) and Kapshtica (Korca) by the IOM Belgrade expert.
The aim of the training sessions was to introduce the Border and Migration Police staff with the AVRR trends and global situation, its principles, and objectives, the standard operating procedures followed to assist the migrants. The training was also focused on how to better support the most vulnerable: unaccompanied minor children, elderly migrants with special and health needs, as well as the role of border police throughout the process.
