President of the Republic H.E. Bajram Begaj held a courtesy meeting with IOM Albania
On 15 September 2022, the UN Resident Coordinator in Albania, Ms. Fiona McCluney, and IOM Albania Head of Office Mrs. Alma Jani, and Mr. Genci Pjetri, Program Coordinator, were received by the President of the Republic H.E. Bajram Begaj in a courtesy meeting.
We wished the President of the Republic of Albania success in his new post and discussed about the IOM work in Albania as one of the main international partners to continue the progress and efforts in migration governance in line with Albania’s priorities of European Union integration, as well as the broad areas of intervention of the IOM in our country.
A particular interest during the meeting was devoted to the discussion on the engagement of the Albanian Diaspora.
