As recognized in the National Strategy on Migration 2019-2022, labour migration of Albanian citizens is likely to remain a major factor influencing the country’s development.
For this reason, planning, designing and monitoring of future employment policies need to take into account the impact of migration of Albanian citizens and foreigners on the national labour market. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak to the economy is another important aspect to be assessed and taken into account when planning and designing policies.
