An information campaign on prevention of irregular migration from Albania to European Union member states will be designed and implemented by the IOM mission in Albania with the support of the Albanian authorities. The campaign is responding to the priorities of the Albanian Government to ensure an effective response to migration management from Albania through better control of borders and respect of the visa liberalization regime between Albania and the European Union (Schengen zone).  The information campaign will have the following objectives:

§  Increase understanding of rights and responsibilities of travel to European Union member states under the visa free regime among youth in Albania.

§  Increase awareness about the fact that asylum is not an instrument for regular/economic migration to European Union member states

§  Increase awareness about the consequences of irregular migration (human trafficking, smuggling and exploitation) among youth.

§  Increase information about regular migration opportunities (through employment and study) and self-development opportunities in Albania.
