The overall objective of the project is therefore to promote the economic empowerment of women victims of trafficking and domestic violence in Albania. It will do so by:

1.     Increasing knowledge and skills on business start-up and income generating activities, as well as by supporting business start-up initiatives.

2.     The capacities of the national shelters for victims of trafficking and of domestic violence in Albania to support economic empowerment of victims will be enhanced through capacity building actions such as training and provision of equipment. Best examples of successful reintegration of Victims of Trafficking (VOTs) in particular will be evidenced and promoted in national media as to encourage public action in support of VOTs reintegration.

3.     The project will contribute to the process of drafting a national multi-sectorial Action Plan for the socio-economic integration and reintegration of women victims of trafficking in Albania for endorsement by the Government.
