The overall project objective was to contribute to strengthening Albania’s efforts toward an effective and sustainable response to trafficking in persons (TIP). To achieve this goal the action will:
1. Strengthen capacities of the law enforcement and the judiciary to effectively respond to TIP through the provision of trainings: The project will positively contribute to the enforcement of legislation by strengthening the capacities of law enforcement agencies and the judiciary to effectively respond to TIP.
2. Strengthen Victims of Trafficking (VOT) identification and referral at the local level, through training of key actors involved (health care practitioners, State Labor Inspectors, private travel operators and Regional Anti Trafficking Committees (RATCs), and piloting of 3 Mobile Units (MU):
3. Sustain VOTs reintegration through direct support to service providers to deliver tailored reintegration assistance and through capacity building actions for Shelter's Coalition to provide assistance to VOTs in a sustainable manner.
